Visiting Jamaica on our cruise was a lot of fun. The buildings are very colorful and the water is very blue. It is very beautiful. Jamaica is a topical country. That means the weather is hot all year.

Jamaica is an island. An island is surrounded by water.

After we got off the ship, we walked through the town. It was very colorful. I saw the colorful buildings: pink, blue, green, and yellow. The people were very happy and smiling.

We met our tour guide. She was young and pretty. We got on a van and drove for a long time. I looked out the window. It is very green and hilly. We could see the ocean from the road.

The tour guide taught us some special words to say:

Thank you ...Thenk yuh

Good day...Gud day

This is cool... Dis is cool mon

After almost two hours of driving, we got to the beach. The sand was a pretty light brown. The water was blue-green. My dad brought our goggles. My brother swam in the water, but I didn't. I like to play in the sand.

We ate lunch on the beach at a table. It was very quiet. There were not many people there. My mom said it was very relaxing.

Then we drove back to the port. We went in some of the colorful stores. My brother bought a stuffed turtle. It is very soft. In a pink store, I got a pretty bracelet. In a yellow store, my mom got a magnet with "Jamaica" on it. She says it helps to remember the places we visited.

Have you seen colorful buildings? Where? What colors were they?

Check out some of my pictures from Jamaica!
