On my cruise stopped at the port of Cozumel. When we got off the ship, we had to walk down a very long walkway to the port.

Cozumel is an island in Mexico. It is a small island in the Caribbean.

The people there speak Spanish. Can you speak Spanish? I can say
Hello (hola)
My name is Emilee (Me llamo Emilee)
Goodbye (Adios)
I liked to say hola to people in the port. It was hot. There are many shops in the port. My mom likes looking in the shops. We watched Mayan dancers preform. It was very cool.

We got in a van to go to the beach. My mom booked a beach excursion. An excursion is a place you go visit or something you do when you visit a port.
The beach was called Playa Mia. It had a kids area with slides. It had two big water slides. I liked to go down the small and big water slides. It had a lazy river with a bridge to the hot tub. Kids were not allowed in the hot tub. There were pools to swim in, too.

There was lots of Spanish food there. We could chose what we wanted to eat from the buffet. It was very good. The water in the beach was warm. We played some at the beach. Some people were snorkeling. My brother and I played in the lazy river and went down the water slides.

My favorite part was the water slides. I went down them many times. We left after we played in the pool, slid down the slides, and ate lunch. We went back to the port. My mom bought a magnet and an ornament. My mom buys a magnet and ornament of to remember the places we visit.
We got back on the ship using our ID card. Remember to bring it with you! It was a hot, fun day.
Do you like to swim in the pool or play in the water at the beach? Tell me below.
