On my first cruise we visited The Bahamas. I have never been out of America! The Bahamas was the first country I visited. Have you visited another country?

We stopped at the port. A port is a place a ship can stop and all the people can get off. We got off the ship and explored the city of Nassau. Nassau is the capital city of The Bahamas. The Bahamas are many islands together. There are 700 islands in The Bahamas.

There were many boats at the port.

When we got off the ship, we had to show our ID card. Remember to bring your ID card. The Captain told us what time to come back to the ship.

There was a storm and we couldn't go to the beach or swim in the water, but we could walk around Nassau. Seeing the buildings around Nassau was fun. The buildings are very colorful. We saw a Pirate statue and a large frog statue.

A lady made a special bag for me out of a plant called jute. It had a princess on it. She wrote my name. It is very pretty.

My bag made from jute.

We saw the ocean and went into stores. The people were very nice. We saw a boat that found and sold seashells. My mom bought a very big seashell.

We walked back to the ship and got on. When we got to the ship we had to show our ID cards. Seeing the Bahamas was so much fun!

Have you visited another country? What did you see?

Hi, I'm Emilee. I'm in third grade. I love to travel and see everything I can see. My family likes to travel in a plane, car, camper or ship to get to new places. I know some kids aren't able to travel, I hope you can travel with me through my blog. Or maybe you are scared of your trip and this makes you feel better!
