Camping in Hocking Hills

I like camping. We camped at Hocking Hills State Park. It is a lot of fun to camp there. There are many things to do! We camped in Hocking Hills for 4 days. It rained on the fourth day.

Hocking Hills is a hilly area in Ohio. There are many caves and hiking trails. My family likes to hike. When we stayed at the campground, we were very close to Old Man's Cave. We hiked down a very steep hill to see the cave and waterfall. Then we had to hike back up. It was hard!

The campground was at the top of a very steep hill. Old Man's Cave was at the bottom.

I like to hike at Old Man's Cave. There are many things to see. You can go through tunnels and over bridges and go in caves.

In the afternoon, we hiked around a lake. The path was not very good. We walked on a fallen tree to cross a creek. My mom said to be careful. I have good balance and it was easy. My mom helped my little brother across.

One day, we hiked all the way to Ash Cave. It was two miles to the cave. There are many steps at the cave and a waterfall. You can't go in the cave, but you can see it. It is very pretty. Then we walked back. My mom said we hiked for four miles. WOW! We were very tired!

There is a swimming pool with two slides at the campground. They go very fast. There is a deep end and you can dive off the edge of the pool. My big brother taught me to dive.
